Handyscope converts iPhone into a practical dermatoscope for scanning skin cancer

iPhone has been used for various medical purposes. Here comes a handyscope which is able to turn the iPhone into a practical dermatoscope, allowing you to scan for skin cancer on the go.

The handyscope simply attaches to iPhone’s camera, and provides up to 20x magnification for the camera. It has built-in LEDs and batteries so it can illuminate the skin with polarized light to complete the skin scanning.
The accompanying app allows you to capture and view dermoscopic photos up to 20x magnification, which is detailed enough to let you have a glance to know if a mole is harmless or suspicious. You can also share the stored images with other dermatologists for second opinions. Watch the clip below showing the handyscope and the iPhone in action.
