Philips has announced Hue, which is claimed to be the world’s smartest LED-based home lighting system that’s controllable by your iPhone, iPad and other smartphones and tablets.
Hue lets you personalize your home lighting system right on your iPhone or iPad to suit your lifestyle. Hue simply screws into your existing lamps and it’s got a bridge that hooks up to your home WiFi network. And you just need to download and install the Hue app on your iPhone, iPad to start controlling the Hue lighting system.
Hue can be setup in minutes. The hue app lets you remotely control your home lighting system, you can easily customize your lighting and set timer and manage your daily schedule right on your iPhone or iPad.

The Hue app lets you colorize the white lights of your home, you can even choose a photo on your iPhone as a color palette to paint your room. There is an additional feature in the app, which offers expert LightRecipes that include four programmed lighting settings based on Philips’ research around the biological effects that lighting on human body.
