Twitter for iOS now comes with its own photo filters powered by Aviary, which allow you to add up to 8 different effects to your photos. The 8 filters are vignette, black and white, warm, cool, cinematic, vintage, happy and gritty.

Apparently Twitter wants to make its service more engaging and fun for their users. The filters are meant to rival with the popular photo sharing service, Instagram.
The 8 photo filters of Twitter are not as exciting as you think. It offers its own style, giving you a paging view to swipe through your photo with each effect on. Alternatively, you can have a grid view which shows you 8 different filtered photo and the original photo at a glance.

There is also an auto enhance wand which automatically adjusts the 8 photos with balanced light and color. But it isn’t as good as the Instagram’s LUX. Instagram’s LUX provides a much better enhancement with a single tap, which automatically adjusts the contrast and exposure and usually makes a dull photo to shine as shown.

Twitter lets you have a 4:3 photo and 1:1 square of your photo. There is a crop and scale function as shown below which allows you to crop and scale easily.
