G-Form iPhone 5 case lets device survive with zero damage from 100,000 foot free fall
G-Form is at it again, having designed a super protective Xtreme iPhone 5 case which managed to protect an iPod Touch 5G with zero damage when dropped from 100K foot free fall. The test was carried out at 100,000 foot free fall from Stratosphere, near area 51.
The iPod Touch 5G which comes in a similar form factor as your iPhone 5 and is considered more delicate, was used in the test and lifted up to 100K foot in the Stratosphere and given a free fall. The iPod Touch 5 endured -60° F temperature, high winds and maximum drop speeds, while recording video on its own camera. It then slammed into a rocky mountainside near area 51 in the Nevada desert 41 miles from the launch site and recovered with zero damage in a perfect working condition.
