HTC Butterfly to hit Indian stores for Rs 49,000?

HTC seems to be going bit over-ambitious with the pricing of its Butterfly smartphone.  It is expected that HTC will launch the Butterfly in India in the next two-three weeks around Rs. 49,000. However, AndroidOS reported that the device would be available in two weeks at a price of Rs. 44,000.
The smartphone was earlier launched in the U.S as the Droid DNA. The pricing of the smartphone seems too high, given available options in the market. The HTC Butterfly smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm S4 Pro quad-core processor and features 5-inch S-LCD 3 with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 & Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. It runs on the latest Android 4.1 with HTC Sense and offers 16 GB of internal storage and microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB of storage. The device also incorporates 2 GB of RAM.HTC ButterflyOn the connectivity front, the device features Bluetooth with aptX enabled (Bluetooth 4.0), DLNA for wirelessly streaming media, micro-USB 2.0 (5-pin) port with MHL for USB. The phone also boasts 8 megapixel camera with auto focus, LED flash, and BSI senso), F2.0 aperture and 28mm lens. Additionally, 2.1 megapixel front facing camera is available that allows 1080p for video chat. The phone is equipped with a 2020 mAh battery.
The specifications of this device seem attractive, but Rs. 50K price might fail to woo the Indian customers.
